words, words
a deep sense of loss
spiderwebs inside the mouth
sticking to the tongue

what is it?
don’t know,
want. to. retch.

spinning, spinning

must walk on (even trudging),
must talk (even whispering),
must say
something…

what? what?

legs? too heavy. dismiss the thought.

voice? used to babble like a stream,
a melody, now silenced.

thoughts? chasing Rationality
who’s too fast, long gone

bottomless well meets her drought
at last, at last
you knew this was going to happen

when do analogies go too far?
when do they become overused?

ah, I don’t know
it’s dried up
hollow
out of reach

empty laughs for the lost and confused

snapped strings and broken wings
who killed the pianist?
I miss his song —

the keys don’t make sense anymore

a living breathing cliché
just want it to
stop.

numbness in the mouth
blurriness in the eyes

a disoriented struggle

questions,
where am I?

no, no,
not location-wise
where am I?
me, behind the screen?

something, somewhere,
It’s important!

sorry, can’t find the words
