Types of Vision Problems

The malfunctioning of any part in the eye may cause the vision problem. It’s not only about the particulars of the eye. There are different types of vision problems. It varies depending on the personage, eye part malfunctioning etc.

Refractive Errors

The refractive errors are standard for all the people. It creates blurry vision when the light is not focused correctly. It will correct with glasses, surgery.

Types of refractive errors

1.Myopia — the objects in the distance look blurry (nearsighted)and follow some tips to improve myopia eyes.
2.Hyperopia — the objects in close-up looks blurry (farsight)
3.Astigmatism — when the cornea is not correctly placed directly to the light, it creates the blurry vision.
4.Presbyopia — Due to ageing the elasticity of the eye get reduced and results in farsightedness

There are some various ways to get rid of refractive errors includes eye exercise to improve vision.

Cataract

It is common in older people. It can correct by surgery replace the lens with the artificial lens. Cataract creates the blurry or colour tinted vision. The person with cataract reports that the “haloes” formed around the object when they were looking at it.

Glaucoma

Glaucoma is caused due to increase the pressure of the fluid inside the eye which results in optic nerve damage. It is the common cause of blindness, particularly for diabetic patients.

Age-Related Macular Degeneration

It is common eye problem for the people above 60 years old. AMD is gradual damage of cells in macular, finally results in blurry vision especially in the field of the center of the view.

Amblyopia

It is commonly referred as “lazy eye”, it occurs when one eye has the worse vision, and another eye has better vision. Because the brain begins favour to the better vision eye. This happens one of the eyes is blocked from producing clear images during the critical age of 0 to 6. Its unable to correct when the child at young age. It is crucial to have the young child evaluated by a doctor to find the sign of amblyopia.

Dry Eye Syndrome

Dry eye is lack of tears. It causes due to the problem with tear ducts, eyelids or some malfunctions of certain medications. Finally, it results in pain and blurry vision.

Diabetic retinopathy

Due to diabetics, the blood vessels of the retinopathy got damaged. It results in blurred or dark spots in the field of vision and finally ends in blindness. To avoid these vision problem is to keep blood sugar at the proper level. There are many eye problems which occurs from diabetics.

Retinal Detachment

The detachment of the retina causes blurry vision or partial loss of vision.
