How Do We Redesign the Way We Think About Shoes?
Modular and flat sneaker concept informed by sneaker culture, sustainable practices and 3D technological influence.

Our goal is to develop the way people view their shoes using modular parts and creating an ongoing relationship between consumers and suppliers. We address this by printing the parts of the sole and the upper separately so the consumer can decide how to match them together. This makes available to the consumer an adaptability and customization to fit their own needs.
Ideation
United by our mutual interest in technology, activewear, and sneaker culture, we decided early on that we’d be researching footwear for the entirety of the semester.
Because a shoe is a context that everyone can easily understand, we heavily oriented our prototyping towards physical experience and stressed the user-product relationship.
