I was cleaning up the photos on my phone recently (90% dog photos, 10% QR codes for restaurants, to give you a sense of my priorities) when I came upon the calendar invite that changed everything.

My “getting fired” story doesn’t have the same drama or viral fodder as other more public layoffs recently. But it does have the same tone. How this was a “tough business decision” for everyone involved.
