Breast Lift (Mastopexy)
Also known as mastopexy, a breast lift raises and firms the breasts by removing excess skin and tightening the surrounding tissue to reshape and support the new breast contour. Loss of skin elasticity, gravity and other factors such as weight loss, pregnancy and breast-feeding ultimately affect breast shape and firmness. Patients who are generally satisfied with the size of their breasts can have a breast lift to raise and firm them, resulting in a more youthful breast contour. Mastopexy is frequently combined with breast implants to restore a more youthful breast shape and volume.
