Guess who was seen at Xen Lounge! It is Marla Gibbs! Many of us remember her as feisty maid, Florence Johnston from the comedy The Jeffersons (1975–1985). It was one of the most long running comedies in the old days and a mighty good one. According to Wikipedia she received five Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nominations. Marla Gibbs also starred in the comedy 227 from 1985–1990 as Mary Jenkins. She is not only a great actress but a great singer that co-produced and sang on the theme song. I enjoyed watching Marla on both comedies. She also appeared once on the comedy Martin. It does not matter what character Marla is or what show she is acting on, she is always great and fun to watch. She still looks young to me standing beside Ian Foxx who was seen with her at Xen Lounge. It’s always good to see Marla Gibbs.
