Time to Rewatch The Office (Again!)
The employees of the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company have been hit especially hard (that’s what she said!) during this health crisis. Please, do your part and rewatch The Office.
Many of us are stuck inside for the foreseeable future. That means we have hours of our days that we have to fill. Now, I’d say we should spend that time being productive — but we all know we’re going to end up watching more Netflix. That’s why I’m suggesting the best way to spend your time is by rewatching one of the greatest television shows ever to have been made: The Office.
You may be wondering to yourself “why is this guy suggesting I watch The Office for literally the tenth time in my life?” Well, here’s three reasons why.
1. To Build Your Dating Resume
You’ve watched The Office, in all its glory — ten times. How many people in the world can say that!? It’d be the perfect addition to your Bumble profile.“Hi, my name is Pudge. I’m not like other guys. I love a good salad. Back in 2020 during the Corona outbreak, I watched The Office for the tenth time! People say I’m a ‘Jim’. I’m looking for something real; I’m DTF.” People will think that’s hella impressive, don’t you think?
2. It’s Your Civic Duty
As humans, we are called upon by our nations to stay inside. Distance ourselves from others. This is my dream! I mean for an emotionally inept man who struggles to commit to anything other than the shows he continuously binge-watches — I’ve been training for this day. We must hoard away within our houses and entertain ourselves. What better way than returning to the safe space of The Office? It’ll keep you indoors for a while because there are so many seasons. It’s pretty long… That’s what she said! Don’t you miss ‘that’s what she said’ jokes? Only you can prevent yourself from going outside and not watching The Office. So don’t be an ass. Be like Dwight and learn your rules.
3. It Won’t Be On Netflix Next Year
Remember last year when it was announced The Office wouldn’t be on Netflix sometime in 2020 because NBC was launching its own streaming service called Peacock? Do you remember when a bunch of dumb people blamed Netflix for this? Yeah, dark times; I know… But you still have time! We haven’t been forced to sign up for the Peacock — not yet! And no one wants that. So take a trip to the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company. See some old friends and make some new ones while you’re at it. It’d be so cool if, during these hard times, if we could come together and all watch across the world. If everyone just went on social media and shared their countries version of The Office (yep — there’s more than just the British and American versions) that would be an epic event that would eclipse even the Dundies themselves.
Well there you have it my friends. Three stellar reasons you should go back and watch The Office. And don’t let our neighbors over the pond try and convince you their original version is the true version. Just let them know that they might have created it, but we perfected it… I love both actually!
