While the Media Academy’s group project work, master seminars in plenary, and participatory workshops focused on exposing and thinking through the theme and transformative media pedagogies, the Culture Track focused on the emotive+affective aspects requisite for such an undertaking, which include:
- Experiencing mutual vulnerability
- Sharing in collaborative truth telling and listening
- Grappling with the personal as it connects with the shared (persons and people)
- Challenging normative values and conventions through collective cultural expression
- Engaging in cross-cultural dialogues and experiences that stress humanity and joy
To support these aspects, specific activities included within the culture track stress upon: sharing personal stories, thoughtful cultural exchange, finding human connection, creative participation, engaged dialogue, intentional remix, and reflection.
