About the Book
We spend our lives striving after hoped for goals, yet even in the midst of accomplishment feel what the Buddha calls dukkha (dis-ease, suffering, unsatisfactoriness). Why? What is success, a life well lived? What is emotional pain? How do we find peace, happiness in an always shifting, ever-demanding world?
The book explores these questions as it dynamically intertwines personal and cultural memoir. As the tale of a restless soul seeking validation through romance and entrepreneurship, it follows a wild ride through the Dot Com era and Web 2.0, New York, Hollywood and Silicon Valley. As an exploration of philosophy and history, ethics and economics, it sweeps through centuries, unveiling the underpinnings of the American worldview, the accepted “view and path” (darshana) that daily guides understanding and shapes choices.
Written by entrepreneur R. Leo Raderman, who has founded several groundbreaking companies and holds, as well, an advanced degree in Systematic and Philosophical Theology, the book provides indispensable insight to aspiring entrepreneurs seeking a better world. More generally, it offers hard won wisdom to anyone wanting to create Beautiful work and a meaningful life, whether just starting out, or reconsidering choices made.
