What Stuck Porn Taught Me About Dubious Consent
It’s not as sketchy as it seems
There’s a small trend in porn videos. If you’re a somewhat wholesome person, you probably haven’t heard of it.
But if you spend a shameful amount of time on Pornhub (guilty as charged), you’ve definitely come across stuck porn.
Stuck porn is exactly what it sounds like. It features a woman (or sometimes two) who is stuck in some kind of compromising position — pinned under a bed, caught in a window, or in one memorable instance trapped in a cat condo.
Because this is porn, the stuck woman is then found by a man (or sometimes two) who decides to take advantage of the situation and fuck her.
I’ve been aware of this subgenre for a long time. I kept coming across the videos but even though I was amused by the thumbnails, I never actually watched one.
This week, curiosity got the better of me and I spent an evening with a ton of these videos.
The reason I stayed away from these is because I was sure they’d make me uncomfortable because of the consent issue. Let’s be clear, almost all of these videos depict a woman who is found and taken advantage of, not a lady who deliberately gets trapped somewhere hoping to lure some horny dude.
