SIMBA'S NIGHT-LIGHT
A SHORT POEM
Published in

We, dreamers and daydreamers,
are identical, in every way, to every other human
living on this lovely giant boulder,
down
to the very last cell and atom, except,
like lion cubs
walking on the moonlit savanna,
singing Hakuna-something,
time has adapted us to see light
in the darkness. The circle of time has made
its official decree: should we choose to accept,
and use it,
this night vision lens has been
heaven-sent
to guide us home.
