WELCOME TO MY WORLD.
POEM
🎵: Redwood by Former Hero
Iridescent skylines
twisted
behind lime-capped, pastel mountains
as far as the eye can see —
Roads erratic, always under construction
We go skinny dipping in mental hurricanes,
all year round, all whilst a bright,
warm star
spins
in
and out of view,
dancing with my ever-changing mood;
Sodium-chloride and vodka torrents
sometimes flood river banks when I’m blue
On good days,
unfettered sunflowers
bob atop atmospheric
swells
like
cocoa butter-scented snowflakes
floating
in
low
gravity
Chromatic deserts of dry paint
straggle throughout my world map,
possessed
by ancient voices
wispering into the chalky winds
You don’t belong here . . .
There’s also volcanic eruptions
and panic-inducing, nuclear blasts
which
radiate the most gorgeous, blue and violet
autumn-noon
sunsets
Pardon
the space dust,
as we figure this shit out
