A Love Note to the Public Waters on the South Shore of Hawai’i

Born and raised on Hawai’i Island, Brianne Lauro is a descendant of Filipino laborers who worked on Hawai’i’s earliest sugar cane plantations. Throughout her childhood, she learned how to hunt, fish, and dive from her father and credits these experiences as being among the most influential to her life and career.
