In a work group, there’s talk about strategic planning, long term goals, and steps to get there. But, one of the first things that you need is a vision. An overarching mile high view of what you want the group to produce or accomplish. In love, that’s #relationshipgoals.
In the last 2 years after my breakup with X, experiencing a myriad of personalities, interests, backgrounds in many, many different men, I finally have my vision, my #relationshipgoals. I’m not sure if I‘m being too picky here, but who cares — it’s a vision! Dream big!
- Someone to be silly with
- Someone that comes to church with me
- Someone that can help me grapple with work, friend, and world dilemmas
- Someone that wants to get married and wants to have a family
- Someone that has depth, communicates this depth articulately with me, and enjoys diving into the complexities of life, analyzing them, and finding new ways to think about them
- Someone that wants to travel to new places and discover new things with me
- Someone that wants to constantly improve, whether it’s personal or professional
- Someone that my friends love or have the future capacity to love
- Someone that treats the women in his life well
- Someone that’s smart and sharp — in something that intrigues me
- Someone that doesn’t mind my ice cold feet under the blankets
