LoveCrafts, the global ecommerce and community destination for crafters, is excited to announce the acquisition of SewandSo assets, as it rapidly expands into new craft categories.

SewandSo was the UK market leader for needlecraft supplies, generating several million in annual revenue.

Following the administration of SewandSo’s parent company, F+W Media in March, the media and ecommerce company for hobbyists began selling its assets. Having just merged its LoveKnitting and LoveCrochet brands under one roof — LoveCrafts.com, and launched a selection of new needlecraft products, LoveCrafts finalised the purchase of SewandSo’s stock and digital assets in August 2019.

“We believe everyone can feel the joy of making, and we’re on a mission to make it happen. It’s why we love crafts, and why we’re LoveCrafts.” Edward, LoveCrafts.

LoveCrafts started in 2012 with a simple mission to build a home for makers. LoveKnitting.com came first, and quickly grew to be the biggest online destination for knitters. LoveCrochet.com launched in 2015 to better serve the crochet community. After lots of careful research and feedback from customers, LoveCrafts.com was brought to life. A single home for makers to shop, share and dream in crafts. LoveCrafts has 100,000+ patterns, the world’s largest range of yarns, and more than 3 million community members.

The future of craft

The acquisition of SewandSo’s assets is an exciting proposition for LoveCrafts, and for makers around the world.

“We’re delighted to provide SewandSo customers a place to continue and enhance their crafting journey. We want to lead the growth of the cross stitch and embroidery genre, and contribute to the revival of traditional skills that have been so treasured over time. This is the start of an exciting future as we expand into new craft categories and build a single destination for makers around the world.” Edward, Founder of LoveCrafts, passionate advocate for a craft revolution.
