I am a Swiftie — or was. Honestly, these days, I find myself listening to old songs more than Taylor Swift’s. I can’t feel the emotions in her songs anymore. Maybe a lot has changed in me emotionally.

Sometimes, I listen to songs that tell the story of my broken heart; the old ones are good at that. Other times, I want to feel better despite my broken heart, so I listen to those I heard when I was young and uncorrupted.

I think my experiences with love were sad: I loved those who couldn’t love me, and I was loved by those I couldn’t love. That is not what Taylor Swift’s songs are about, so I think I am done being a Swiftie.
