Love Me As A Line

a short poem about loving somebody for real

Today, I’m a circle.
And you love the way I roll.
But I won’t be a circle forever.

Time will pass.
And one day, I’ll become a rectangle.

And then a triangle.

And then a polygon.

And then a dozen other shapes over time.

So don’t love me as a circle.
Love me as a line.
And then any shape I’m in,
Will always be just fine.
