Home care exercise for neck pain can make the difference you’ve been looking for.

Neck pain is something that many people struggle through at some point or another in their lifetime. But for those of you who face a constant struggle with chronic pain you may have given up on treatments and resigned to living with the pain. I’m here to let you know that doesn’t have to be the case.

Through a thorough examination, it should be possible to discover the exact cause of your pain and then it’s just a matter of choosing the most appropriate treatment option for that specific condition. More severe conditions may require surgery, but most are able to be treated more conservatively through chiropractic, massage or physical therapy.

In this post I wanted to specifically cover some ‘at-home’ exercises that will be beneficial to coincide with your regular treatments.

Stretching exercises (seen above) are the simplest and most beneficial at-home self-treatment. The graphic shows instructions for a 6 second hold in most cases, but I would recommend devoting 10 seconds per stretch and repeating each stretch 2–3 times per day for better results. Releasing muscle tension in the neck and shoulder muscles, which builds up throughout the course of the day, is proven to help reduce stress and pain levels.

So if you or someone you know suffers with neck pain, share this post with them, so they can give these exercises a try. Consistently doing these stretches will make a noticeable impact on your life or the life of a friend or family member.
