Baked Apples

Ingredients:

Apples (the exact number depends on how large your baking sheet is, and the type of apple depends on your tastes. For example, I personally don’t like tart green apples much for baking)

Cinnamon (coat to taste)

You do NOT need to add sugar to get amazing baked apples!

With a handy apple coring and slicing tool, slice up a bunch of well-washed apples, and place the slices into a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle cinnamon generously, and toss well to evenly coat the apple slices with cinnamon. The more cinnamon you add, the more cinnamon you will taste!

Line a large baking sheet that has raised edges with parchment paper (mine can accommodate slices from a whole bag of apples). Evenly space out the slices on the parchment paper, then add some water to the baking sheet so that the slices are maybe a quarter submerged (this will help steam the apples).

Cover with foil, and bake at 400°F/205°C for 1 hour. Let cool, then eat and store as is, or add them to the Whole Fruit and Nut/Seed Butter Toast described in the Toast section.
