There is a ton of material out there about how to start with the low-code Data Analytics Platform KNIME and learn Data Science, Machine Learning and so on. Also KNIME has structured its learning offerings in a meaningful way. Nonetheless, I want to provide you with my own small collection of paths that I think would guide you right into the world of the KNIME Analytics Platform.

If you just have one minute and no idea what KNIME is you can watch:

KNIME Getting Started Guide

If you want to read a more extensive article also about the why of KNIME you can read “The Best kept Secret in Data Science is KNIME” or if you speak German “KNIME Einführung — einige High Lights”.

An overview about what KNIME is and how to start is in this “Getting Started Guide”:

Or you can see a small collection of YouTube videos to give you an idea.

KNIME Courses — Learning Paths

The various paths that are available to learn for different roles in KNIME like Data Scientist or Data Engineer is here in the Learning Center:

You will then find the mentioned self-paced courses here:
https://knime.learnupon.com (log in with your KNIME account)

If you then want to test your (new) skills or you already know some KNIME you can use the “Starter collection” on the KNIME Community Hub (the place where you will find useful example workflows of all kind).

KNIME Version 5 — video collection

KNIME has also provided collections of videos summing up the most important aspects of the software on their YouTube channel.

KNIME Version 4 — video collection

Further useful workflow examples are from KNIME video courses

KNIME Press — Books

And if you want to explore more there is a broad collection of books. Also if you already know a platform like Excel (plus Videos in English and German), Alteryx (there also is now a video), SPPS or SAS and want to use KNIME. Most of them are free, so explore!

In case you have done a lot with Excel (and want to continue but use the power of KNIME) you can take a look at this article:

Overview about further Learning Paths

This article tried to also sum up further learning options based on your preferences for channels like books, blogs or videos

KNIME and Machine-Learning

If you are specifically interested in Machine-Learning you will find a lot of resources and discussions here:

And finally if you want to know more you can always just ask on the
KNIME Forum (https://forum.knime.com/).

In case you enjoyed this story you can follow me on Medium (https://medium.com/@mlxl) or on the KNIME Community Hub (https://hub.knime.com/mlauber71) or KNIME Forum (https://forum.knime.com/u/mlauber71/summary).
