That zebra crossing is like an event in history.

It wants to forget (so that people can cross) as much as it wants to remember (so that people can stop).

So that more people forget less.

As more fuel ridden rectangles pass over it, the stripes tend to fade away.

  • Rain also contributes to its fading.
  • Beggars too — when they scratch the surface.

Just as how people sign up for an event, and soon it fades away.

Faded stripes when repainted do not mean that people who have crossed should validate it. They cannot.

Also, some events are marked in history forever.

Wish we could design a few inviting zebra crossings that become a part of history. After all, it is just crossing over.
