LoyalCoin’s token generation event (TGE) is about to end in a couple of weeks. You may have created a NEM address for your account on the LoyalCoin website through the NEM Wallet mobile app, and that’s perfectly fine.

However, we recommend you to use the Nano Wallet instead. Because the LoyalCoin that will be sent to you when the TGE ends will reflect on the Nano Wallet. The NEM Wallet mobile app will not be able to show that for now.

But what do we do to the NEM address on the NEM Wallet mobile app that you already inserted on your LoyalCoin account. You don’t have to create a new NEM address just to use the Nano Wallet. You can just create a Nano Wallet account using the NEM address you have on your NEM Wallet mobile app.

Here below is our step-by-step guide for syncing your NEM address from the NEM Mobile app to the Nano Wallet. Doing this will ensure that the LoyalCoin transmitted to the NEM address on your NEM Wallet mobile app will also reflect on the Nano Wallet. Descriptions for each step are shown below the screenshot:

PART 1: Exporting from NEM Wallet for Android/iOS

Open your NEM Wallet app and enter your password.
Now, tap “More” and select “Export Account”
When prompted to set export passport, just tap OK (there’s no need to set one), then tap “Show Private Key”
Read and follow the warning, and tap “I understand.” The app will then show your private key. Now, copy your private key on a secure file. You’ll need that later for opening your wallet.

PART 2: Importing to Nano Wallet

Download the Nano Wallet here (If your computer stops you from opening the program, here are some troubleshooting tips for iOS and Windows.)
Open the Nano Wallet program, click “Sign Up” and select “Private key wallet”
Click “Ready” and then select the Mainnet network.
Enter your preferred wallet name and password.
Now, enter the private key you copied from your NEM Wallet mobile app to the Nano Wallet. You’ll see that the NEM Address that was on your app is also displayed here.
The next few screenshots are security steps. Do as told and save your wallet details somewhere secure. It can be via Trezor wallets or flash drives stored in safes. Up to you. You can ask our community over at Telegram for tips.
You just used your private key to create an account, so just proceed with the next steps. Once you click “I agree,” the Nano Wallet leads to the log-in screen
Select the wallet you just created and enter the password.
Now, click “Account: Primary”
Ta-da! The NEM address on your mobile phone is now on your Nano Wallet

Over the next few days, we’ll guide you on topics such as the process of receiving LoyalCoin when the TGE ends, and upcoming new features for the website, among others. For more questions, feel free to ask us over at Facebook, Twitter, and Telegram. Don’t forget to like, follow, and join us!
