Community Update #3 —2018: new app, new possibilities

The LoyalGarden team is happy to announce that we’ve entered 2018 with an updated application and a rich list of new tools for community leaders to built an engaged community with it’s own smart reward tokens.

You start with creating your own community token. Yes, that’s right, in the LoyalGarden app every community can create it’s own token within 2 minutes and start using it at the spot. But why create a community token? Well, having your own token helps you brand your community identity and gives you multiple ways to engage and interact with community members. You can use it as an efficient way of rewarding community members or maybe even use it as a currency accepted only within your community. You are ready to go if you have a name for your token, a logo, defined who (at first) will be rewarded with tokens and what they can do with your token. As an example, Podium Asteriks, our first client, has created a token named POP to reward their ‘Friends of Asteriks’. ‘Friends of Asteriks’ are people who on a yearly basis donate 100 EUR to their community. In return they now get a half of their donation back in POP. They can use these POPs for free entrance to pop concerts or to give away a free ticket to friends and family.

This is the basis we developed, tested and launched in 2017. Luckily we had the opportunity to do live experiences at BlockchainTalks Meetup and of course our first client: Podium Asteriks. The first usages of our solution gave us a lot of feedback to improve our product and on top of it some people got so excited that they started doing suggestions for future development. Based on these suggestions we developed a nice set of features that help with getting your community active and engaged.

• Community leaders now have the ability to create more than one community token. So for example you can now create tokens for a one-day-event, for instance a voting event, or create a rewards plan with specific flavours (‘Silver’, ‘Gold’, ‘Platinum’). Defining smart exchange rate will guard fair swaps between your customers, their friends and family (i.e. growing customer base).
• ‘Promo code’ — new feature allowing brands to allocate a predefined volume of rewards to a designated cryptographically secured contract for a specific amount of time. There is a resulting QR code that you can hang on a wall, put it next to the cashier or print it out on a big billboard with “Scan me!!” message. Every user scanning the code will get acquainted to your brand and (smart)rewarded with your token.
• LoyalGarden is not just a platform, but a gateway to the Blockchain for your business: in the application you can now generate your personal security key to get a secured API access to the LoyalGarden platform. This allows your existing IT infrastructure to get connected to the blockchain instantly, rewarding your customers, joining a bigger network, or, even, create your own. And of course on the user’s end we used the feedback given at live events to drastically improve the user interface and experience and added a set of easy-to-use features.

So 2017 was a great start, where in the last month we succeeded with the first real-life use cases and have proven that the platform is ready to be used. We are now looking forward to 2018 where we will continue to develop tools for community building, where several communities will start using our platform. We will continue to pursue our mission to create a new ecosystem for the cultural world that is more fair and rewarding to content creators and it’s loyal community members. We are ready!
