LegalThings One -> LTO Network: rebranding + release of all papers + new website

Hello everyone! We have been busy lately : we have released all papers, improved website content and design, added a section for integrators and joint business builders, worked daily on GitHub and so on. You can always follow our progress on Telegram, Twitter, and now also on Reddit — don’t forget to subscribe to at least one of the channels!

There is one thing we want to specifically focus on: small rebranding.

As a software provider company established in 2014 focusing on digitalization of contracts and management tools, we moved into the blockchain space about 2 years ago to automate contracts on blockchain and make them legally compliant. While testing different go-to-market strategies, we realized there is a much bigger audience to reach if we increased the scope of our solution. Therefore, we moved onto building the infrastructure for trustlessly orchestrating any business processes — legal agreements included!

With the increased scope of LTO’s solution came the necessity to properly position the company. With our old name, LegalThings One, many were convinced that we were doing some kind of legal contract management or ICO advisory (oh no!). We needed a swift and easily comprehensive transition to the new name. And we found it!

So… LTO Network. Let’s look at it under a microscope.

1. If you have been with us for a long time, you might be emotionally attached to the old name, so you can still decipher it as ‘LegalThings One’. Just don’t tell anyone about it ;)
2. LTO = Liquid Task Orchestration. The idea of our technology is to allow for smooth operation of processes among multiple parties. As removing layers of bureaucracy is part of our mission, this can be referred to as making organizations more liquid.
3. If you are a tech veteran, this one will probably resonate with you the most: LTO = LTO Task Orchestration. Just like the recursive acronym of PHP (instead of calling it Personal Home Page) deciphers as PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor.
