As the nation continues to transform in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic with one of the most important presidential elections in the history of the United States on the horizon, the Latinx community — -the largest voting bloc and buying power in the country — -will coalesce to celebrate their place in entrepreneurship, tech, innovation, advocacy and community building at the fourth annual LTX Fest online October 13–16, 2020.

Typically curated in person, this year’s virtual rendition of the conference promises to connect and showcase talent from across the globe to advance the power of the Latinx community. Free of cost, conference goers can tune in to be a part of a four day experience and come together to elevate this year’s theme: United We Rise.

Put together in part by presenting sponsors Kapor Center, Comcast, and NBC Universal, the tech conference will take place over the course of four days Tuesday through Friday. Each day boasts its own theme and exclusive roster of talent to inspire all. Attendees have the opportunity to learn, connect, create and network around new job opportunities.

“Some say we cannot be what we can’t see but for many of us we’ve had to be that FIRST. So LTX Fest will UPLIFT NARRATIVES of the LATINX community as Innovators, Entrepreneurs, Investors, Scientists, Public Leaders, Educators, and so much more.

We are shaping the FUTURE and now we can do it on a larger scale — 5x growth from last year,” said Carla Perez-Vera, LTX Fest Lead.

For this reason, the LTX Fest prides itself in actively working towards achieving equity and parity for Latinx in the technology, media and entrepreneurial sectors. The first day of programming will focus on owning our narratives, culture and intersectionality, and feature keynote speakers America Ferrera, Dolores Huerta, and Paola Ramos among others.

Day two will shed light on the Tech industry, exposing different pathways and careers to fest goers. Day three will tackle scaling and funding in Entrepreneurship and the closing day will emphasize advocacy and encourage the Latinx community to fully own its power and apply change in action.

“Latinx make up only 8% of the Technology industry, despite being the country’s largest ethnic community,” said Carolina Huaranca Mendoza, Board of Directors, Latinas in Tech.

The panel roster has been built out to change this and work to increase generational wealth amongst the Latinx community. Additional featured speakers include Eric Garcetti, James Loduca, Amanda Doalmaral, Pilar Manchon, Jacqueline Martinez Garcel and Elias Torres, among others.

While LTX Fest magic was created in person gatherings in the past, however due to COVID restrictions, the founding team had to stretch its imagination to create a conference experience like no other. It is not a gathering that feels like a big family as in the past, but the dance party is still on and will pay tribute to our intersectional culture after the first day of programming.

Join LTX Fest to mobilize, activate, inspire and elevate its place and space at an unforgettable event just ahead of the elections.
