We live in the 21st century; a world of near infinite possibilities. Yet our children’s instruction is stuck in the past; a 19th-century relic of Prussian origin. The problems we’ll face in the next 25–50 years will define the fate of our planet. We need to prepare the next generation of scientists, visionaries, and pioneers with an updated approach to learning how our universe works.
Technological globalization has allowed borders to disappear and granted us unprecedented access to a world-wide marketplace. There is a growing trend of remote work being laid out for the workforce of the future. This future knowledge worker will be aided by emerging technologies like Virtual (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR), and work with teams in all corners of the globe. It is imperative that we upgrade our education system to be compatible with this new frontier.

We at Lucerna believe that the most important thing a child can learn in their early developmental years is a love of learning. As social creatures, we discover at an early age that to play IS to learn.
