I’m a writer, not a charity (according to whom?)
My god the misery porn is doing well isn’t it? Fuck me. Seven Thousand likes and a hundred and thirty eight supportive comments. It has never been more profitable than now to join the ‘I’m throwing the towel in’ train. Writing about Medium is, much to my ongoing annoyance, one of the key ways to make money on Medium.
We all click. We all go and have a look.
In this particular case… Matt is lamenting the fact that Medium expects him to graft away for two cents.
As the subtitle says, he’s a writer and not a charity.
But I’m also a writer. And I’ve almost certainly been at Medium longer than him. I’ve been here longer than most of you and I’ve had my feathers somewhat ruffled by all this anti-Medium schtick. It’s all the rage and it’s making me rage.
I get it. I really do.
