I’ll share how we got all the details on our project and how we interact with our host organization (yes this is how we call our customer here).

About 10 to 15 days before your trip IBM CSC team share with the whole group the sub groups and which project you were assigned to.

And luckily I was already assigned for the first project! No need to be anxious waiting your name to show up! My group is formed by 3 people, Arabella from UK, Aatreo from India and myself.

Our group is called DEPA 1 (Digital Economy Promoted Agency ) — We were assigned to work with a Government Organization created in January 2017 to promote and support the development of digital industry and innovation as well as the digital technology adoption and usage for economic, social, cultural and security benefits, in accordance with the Digital and Society Economy.

After sharing all the sub groups we receive an overview on the project scope and by email we get an SOW for us to review and have a first meeting with the client (remotely).

We three had a meeting together after reviewing the SOW and planned how to present ourselves in the meeting.

We’ve agreed with a time with the customer and we had a Skype Meeting where everyone presented yourself explained a bit about your job role and how happy you are with the assignment. It was really good to know a bit about the team we will work with and also to clarify some questions on the scope and ask some questions for us to do some research.

It took awhile to post it here anything customer related before the official kick off ceremony! That will be another blog post I’ll write soon!
