MoonPay Onboarding: Fiat-to-Crypto Solution Allows Gamers to Buy LDN with Credit Card!
On February 4th, we announced that our partnership with MoonPay, a digital asset payment service provider, to ease the transition of our platform’s digital asset reward system.
Our first Dapp, gaming-centric social media platform, GameTalkTalk, has garnered over 3.5 million downloads from the Google Play store, and is made up of mostly South Korean gamers. Users are rewarded in digital assets in the form of “Stars” for a multitude of gaming-related activities, the most popular being, playing video games made by some of the world’s most beloved game developers. Earlier this year, we announced the phase one release of the Dapp version of GameTalkTalk, which means that we will soon replace our digital assets from stars to our native token, LDN.
MoonPay is a developer-driven, all-in-one payments solution, which makes fiat-to-crypto purchases painless. It is powered by World Pay, one of the world’s largest payment solution providers, which powers giants such as Binance, Coinbase and even Netflix. They offer a wide range of different digital asset client types and are the only payment processor that allow wallets, dApps and exchanges to control the experience of how their users purchase cryptocurrency with debit or credit cards, bank transfers and Apple Pay.
The full Dapp version of GameTalkTalk is set to be released in a few short weeks, and will introduce a new audience of passionate gamers to the world of rewards-based blockchain gaming, fueled by cryptocurrencies. As the app makes the transition to a Dapp-based service, we are addressing transitional concerns by offering the MoonPay solution. This solution will proactively tackle some of the user doubt or unfamiliarity in regards to cryptocurrencies. It will also allow our users to purchase LDN in a simple and commonplace way.
We both expressed the confidence that this partnership should help bring about blockchain gaming mass adoption in a way that reduces apprehension or avoidance.
