October 2020 Update: O stands for office upgrade
Greetings everyone from the Ludena HQ and hope you are having a happy October.
Development
This month we have been busy with the revamp of our first P2P game, Super Ping Pong Challenge! Over the past few weeks we have been conducting both closed and open beta tests, which have been taking place on the GameTalkTalk app.
As you may know, we have had to make considerable upheavals to our P2P gaming platform, which have affected our development timeline. Since we decided to veer from our original platform concept, by making the playable characters customizable, it has forced us to trace back and rewrite some of our crucial base code. This customization feature was an unexpected, but exciting, pivot, as it allows our platform users to harness the use of their Ludena NFTs, but comes with the price of a slight dev schedule setback.
Some of you have been asking if any new games have been added to the platform and the answer is… sort of! Monster Dunk 100 is still in the works, but has been placed on the back burner a bit, due to some technical difficulties that arose in the final stages of the game development. Although GameTalkTalk is not new to mini-games on its platform, multiplayer games have proven to cause some grief to our dev team. Sleep soundly knowing that we are working hard to get a smooth gaming platform out there as quick as we can!
The good news is, that we have our second mini game concept photos ready to show you! Think, Tetris, but with multiple game modes like versus or mulitplayer rooms and a 2020 twist like you’ve never seen before. Here are the first glances at TalkTris!! (Please keep in mind that these are simply concept photos and the game design and direction can change at any time due to development limitations, etc.)
These initial stills are a basic first look of this series’ vision and character line up, so we can’t wait to see how you guys deck out your characters in your NFT gear!
Office Expansion
To accommodate our growing team, we gave our office a little upgrade at the start of this month! Our new space is bigger, not only to fit our new team members, but also to accommodate our expanding business operations. We now have an in-office studio space, which is ideal for our future streaming channel on Theta.tv and for our thriving YouTube videos.
Conclusion
Since our DApp has some time before its realistic release, we are hoping to push out a few global events to reward you all for your patience. We are still on track to list shortly and are just waiting for the go ahead from the exchange. With all new projects, there are setbacks and delays, and although we are sorry that you had to experience it with Ludena, we thank you as well for your continued support!
