Finn Church Aid (FCA) is the largest international aid organization in Finland. FCA operates in 14 countries across four continents and has more than 70 years of experience. FCA specializes in supporting local communities in three priority areas: Right to Livelihoods, Right to Education and Right to Peace.

Their “Developing Creative Industries” is a program aimed at being a tool for targeting development work to youth and to beneficiaries in growing urban contexts. The program provides general studies in creative businesses and digital entrepreneurship with a focuses on training in music and gaming industries focusing mainly on where the end product can be distributed digitally and the IP monetized.

For their Uganda program, we partnered with FCA to:

a.) Run a workshop on: “Introduction to the world of game development and working in the industry”.

b.) Facilitating a 48 hour Game Jam session on creating games from scratch

c.) Discussion on career possibilities in the gaming world and a deeper look into the game industry.
