Doing what I love with a clenched jaw.

Dear Self,

Time is such an odd thing.

I feel like there is both so much of it and so little of it.

I am doing a great job of filling my time with very good things.

Yesterday and today I noticed I was clenching my jaw quite a bit, this is an old habit that hasn’t been around so much of late. With its return visit I was given the opportunity to think about why this might be happening.

I think it is because when I am doing things I love I can think that I don’t need any time to regenerate.

This is not true. I always need time to do nothing. Time to meander along and let life happen around me for a while.

I also think it is about the way I am doing the things I am doing.

Taking the time to do exactly what I am doing rather than being in ‘the next thing’ is pretty important.

I’m hoping a renewed focus on the way I am doing things and adding in some nothing time will help unwind my jaw.

Luke
