Drawing is the shiny new thing.

Dear Self,

I don’t want to write a daily letter to you anymore.

About a week ago I started a new project where I decided to draw a picture and post it online everyday for seven days.

It has been a great thing to do, an opening of a world that I had closed unnecessarily. It feels exciting to enter back into this whilst being supported by all of the things I have learnt in between.

So when I woke up this morning I was itching to get my drawing done. When I thought of writing to you I was like a teenager being asked to do the dishes.

“Ugh! Why me? What’s the point?”

Drawing is the shiny new thing.

I don’t want to write a daily letter to you anymore. I can’t see that there is anything to be gained from keeping up this daily practice that has changed my life.

Oh.

Yeah, right.

Got it.

Luke
