How much time do I have? Drawing Luke Hockley.

How much time do I have?

Dear Self,

I don’t know how much time I’ve got left.

Do I have 15 minutes? 3 days? A couple of months? 15 years? 40 years?

I know I don’t have 100 years (unless something radical changes in our understanding of ageing) but short of that I really don’t know.

I understand that that is just how it is…but it kind of makes it hard to plan.

How radically do I act? If I want to change something, try something out, what’s my timeline for giving it a bash?

I tend to worry a lot about my health, about dying. Which I think is really me worrying about having enough time to do the things I want to do.

The answer is obvious really. If I want to do something I have to be doing it now. Otherwise I am at risk of it being an idea and nothing else.

How much time do I have?

Now.

That’s the only sensible answer.

Luke
