Smash. Drawing Luke Hockley.

Dear Self,

Today I was at my Mum and Dad’s house and I opened the fridge and a shelf feel out of the fridge and everything on it crashed to the ground and smashed into pieces.

It was a big pile of oyster sauce, plum jam, soy sauce and shards of glass.

It had been a big day already.

I woke up at 5am and got into the city to get a train to Bendigo at 7:30am…which turned out to be a bus at 8:30am.

After a lot of hours of sitting around I sat on the bus ready to work on my script for the first Dear Self performance…and ended up with a very talkative friend sitting next to me on the bus.

2 hours of conversation later (he read many a Dear Self, and showed me quite a bit about which ones are really working…and some ones that I’m now not sure about…) I arrived in Bendigo ready to open the fridge door and smash the contents all over the floor.

Mum cleaned it up (happy mothers day) while I finished making breakfast for us. Turns out the fridge had just been cleaned and one shelf didn’t quite make it back into its proper place and…the rest is history.

That kind of sums up today.

What is Dear Self all about?

Hey, guess what? You’re in for a treat.

I’m doing my very first Dear Self performance on the 27th of May 2017.

If you have read this far and you can get to Melbourne then you are one of the select group of people I am inviting to buy a ticket.

It is a first run at a new idea. Go here and use the password DearSelf to find out more and buy your ticket.
