Solid foundations.

Dear Self,

Let’s not question the fundamentals eh?

Just because it is a new year and there is the possibility to look at the page as blank and craft the year ahead as if nothing has been before it doesn’t mean that I have to start from a blank page.

I think this year I am in the enviable position of wanting to build from what I have done rather than start all over again.

Last year I dove into writing and I created community through the performing arts. I cultivated friendships and supported people who are doing things to make the world a better place.

This year I would like to continue to pursue these things always amplifying the role they play in my life.

I’d like to add in a little more of giving back to the world. Making good on the excellent luck that led me to live this life in this country at this time.

So I will not go down the rabbit hole of reinvention when there is quite simply no need.

Luke
