To be loved is a beautiful thing.

It’s worth noting because otherwise I can just go on about my life looking at all the things I don’t have.

Counting money and success and failure. Looking at the number of likes and shares and comments I have attracted.

These things are all great but they are not the same as being loved. Online support can be an expression of love, and I feel that in the individual comments and interactions, but my ‘number counting’ is not a measure of love that I find healthy.

To be loved is to have someone know you and hold you exactly as you are.

To be loved is a beautiful thing.
