Using Ethereum and other blockchains isn’t always as easy and straight forward as we would like it to be.
This tutorial will take you by the hand so you can safely participate in the rICO without any headaches 🙌

MyCrypto is a software that lets you interact with the Ethereum blockchain. It does not store your private keys, but only functions as an interface to manage your wallet. You can download it for Windows, Mac or Linux here

How to send your Ether to the rICO contract

If you’re unfamiliar with owning cryptocurrencies you can refer to our article on how and where to buy ETH here.

  1. Open MyCrypto and create a new Ethereum transaction.
  2. Insert the address of the rICO contract as the “Recipient Address”:
    👉rico.eth
    or
    👉0xE417b912F6cB6592ec2D71dbF6F2B48191b2CdF6
  3. Send the amount of ETH you want to contribute (minimum contribution is 0.001 ETH).
  4. Below “Transaction Fee” click on “+ Advanced”

4. Change the “Gas Limit” to 👉 450000
5. Type the following into the “Data” field 👉 0x3C7A3AFF
6. Recheck all the information and confirm the Transaction.

7. After you send your ETH, you have to complete the KYC process to get your corresponding LYXe. You will have 2 weeks to complete the KYC, during that time your ETH will be “pending”.

How to add the LYXe Token to MyCrypto

LYXe is the representation of LYX on the Ethereum Blockchain

In order to make your LYXe visible and access them with your wallet, you have to manually add them (if they do not show up automatically). Your LYXe will only show up after your KYC has been accepted.

  1. On the right lower corner you can find your Token Balances, click on “Add Custom Token”
  2. Paste in the LYXe Token Contract address into “Contract Address”
    👉0xA8b919680258d369114910511cc87595aec0be6D

2.1 If the Name, Symbol, and Decimals won’t fill in automatically here is what you need to insert
Name: LYXe
Symbol: LYXe
Decimals: 18

How to get your “pending” ETH back

After you contributed your ETH to the rICO they will be pending until your KYC is approved. You have two weeks to complete the KYC, after that time your ETH will be sent back to you.
If you decide against completing the KYC process, and you want to get your ETH back faster you can do the following:

  1. Create a new ETH transaction.
  2. Insert the address of the rICO contract as the “Recipient Address”
    👉rico.eth
    or
    👉0xE417b912F6cB6592ec2D71dbF6F2B48191b2CdF6
  3. Send 👉 0.00001 ETH or less (as in Picture 1)
  4. Below “Transaction Fee” click on “+ Advanced”
  5. Change the “Gas Limit” to 👉 200000
  6. Recheck all the information and confirm the Transaction

How to return “returnable LYXe”

If you want to return your reserved LYXe, you can just send your returnable LYXe to the rICO contract. You can check the balance of your reserved LYXe on the “Check balance” field on the rICO website.

To exchange your returnable LYXe for the corresponding ETH just send the Tokens back to the rICO contract.

  1. Create a LYXe transaction
  2. Fill in the Number of LYXe Tokens you want to return
  3. Insert the rICO contract address:
    👉rico.eth
    or
    👉0xE417b912F6cB6592ec2D71dbF6F2B48191b2CdF6
  4. Below “Transaction Fee” click on “+ Advanced”
  5. Adjust the Gas Limit to 👉200000
  6. Recheck all the information and confirm the Transaction. After you send your Transaction it will take a couple of minutes until your ETH shows up in your wallet.
