With $1 million USD allocated for the first wave of grantees, the grants program is designed to propel the development of decentralized applications (dApps) and solutions within the LUKSO ecosystem. This program is set to catalyze the integration of LUKSO’s innovative smart contract standards and Universal Profiles (UPs), paving the way for a new generation of revolutionary dApps that prioritize user-centric, social, and creative functionalities 💫.

LUKSO is dedicated to reshaping the digital economy landscape by supporting builders who are driving innovation within the ecosystem. As we approach the 1 year anniversary of LUKSO’s Mainnet Launch on May 23rd, May 1st 2024 marks a significant milestone in the year of growth for the LUKSO ecosystem 🌱.

We invite developers and founders interested in exploring our platform, as well as projects currently developing on LUKSO, to apply for the LUKSO Grants Program. Successful applicants will receive tailored support and mentorship to advance their projects.

All grantees will be able to gain access to a suite of resources tailored to enhance their project development in the LUKSO ecosystem. This includes scheduled office hours for personalized advice, exclusive masterclass sessions, technically focused workshops, and regular opportunities for collaboration and learning from fellow grantees 📚. As the LUKSO Grants Program continues to grow in subsequent waves, each project will become part of a larger network of core contributors within the ecosystem.

Funding and Application Details

The LUKSO Grants Program, led by FNCΞ, is not just about financial assistance; it’s a commitment to collaborative growth and sustainable development. Grantees will be part of a quarterly wave structure that fosters a cooperative environment among cohorts, with $1 million allocated for the first wave 🌊.

Each project’s funding amount will be determined based on its technical complexity, potential for user adoption, and the overall value it adds to the LUKSO ecosystem.

Applications are welcomed from a wide array of sectors within the blockchain realm, including:

• dApps: Spanning categories like Creator Economy & Social Media, DAOs, DeFi, Fashion, Art, Music, Entertainment & Lifestyle, Gaming & Virtual Worlds, Marketplaces and Sustainability 🌐
• Infrastructure: Building essential public goods that serve as the backbone of the LUKSO ecosystem 💪
• Developer Tools and Education: Equipping developers with the tools and knowledge needed for future innovations 📚

Projects must utilize LUKSO’s Standards Proposals (LSPs) and Universal Profiles to drive innovation or enhance existing blockchain solutions.

How to Apply

Applications for the first wave of the LUKSO Grants Program are now open until June 16th, 2024 at 4pm CET 🗳️. Applicants can submit their proposals through the LUKSO Grants Program portal.

The grant committee will evaluate these applications based on the following criteria:

1. Technical Excellence: Implementation of LUKSO’s smart contract standards (LSPs), tools, and Universal Profiles (UPs).
2. Use Case: The project’s usefulness, scalability, and market potential.
3. User Experience: Ease and intuitiveness of the user interface.
4. Strategy: Go-to-market strategy, including user adoption and marketing objectives.
5. Ecosystem Fit: Alignment with and contribution to the LUKSO ecosystem.
6. Milestones and Deliverables: Clarity and feasibility of the project’s development roadmap and timelines.
7. Team Expertise: The team’s technical and strategic skills, motivation, and dedication to the LUKSO ecosystem.
