The Lum Network Wallet is a non-custodial, open-source, offline wallet. Simply put, it is an interface for managing Lum wallets and interact with the Lum Network from your computer without any centralized entity in between.

Security

Keep your private keys in a safe place! The Lum Network Wallet is non-custodial, you are responsible for storing your private key and keeping it in a secure environment. No one will be able to help you recover it if it is lost or stolen.

Always double-check website urls and links! The Lum Network Wallet is officially hosted at https://wallet.lum.network.

Test-net and main-net are compatible! Wallets created during the test-net phases are fully compatible for the main-net. If you create a wallet using test-net resources such as https://wallet.testnet.lum.network it will work once you connect to the main-net.

Wallet options

Only recommended options will be detailed in this tutorial, other wallet management solutions should only be used by experienced users and should therefore be self-explanatory.

There are two recommended ways to access and manage a Lum Wallet:

  • Using Keplr interchain wallet (also compatible with Ledger)
  • Using a Ledger hardware device directly

Using Keplr interchain wallet

Keplr Wallet is a Google Chrome extension and is officially supported only on Google Chrome. It is compatible with Ledger hardware devices.

1/ Install the Keplr extension for Google Chrome

2/ Setup your Keplr extension. If you need help setting up Keplr you can checkout this complete Guide

3/ Visit https://wallet.lum.network (recommended browser is Google Chrome)

4/ Click on ExtensionKeplr extension Continue

5/ Unlock your Keplr extension by typing your password

6/ Agree to add the Lum Network to your enabled networks
- Again, this is ok to connect to the Lum Network test-net, you will be able to add the Lum Network main-net once launched and your LUM wallet will work just fine
- The LUM tokens you might see on your wallet if connected to the test-net will not necessarily reflect the LUM tokens you will have on the main-net
- Adding the Lum Network to Keplr should be risk free, it will not have any impact on any of your other interchain tokens

7/ All done! You should be able to see your wallet address and balance

Using a Ledger hardware device

The Lum Network is based on the Cosmos SDK and is compatible with the official Cosmos application for Ledger devices.

1/ Install the Ledger Cosmos App

2/ Connect your Ledger device to your computer, then unlock it and open the Cosmos App

3/ Visit https://wallet.lum.network (recommended browser is Google Chrome)

4/ Click on HardwareCosmos app Continue

5/ Depending on your browser it might ask you to select the connected device (ex: Nano S). Select it to complete the connection process.

6/ All done! You should be able to see your wallet address and balance
