This tutorial is only dedicated to people not able to see their LUM using the default Keplr integration on https://wallet.lum.network. If you can access your LUM using the default settings you should NOT follow this tutorial.

This tutorial is also dedicated to test-net participants who see a different wallet address now that the main-net is launched. This happened due to an update of Lum Network’s web wallet during the test-net phase.

What is a derivation path?

Most cryptocurrency wallets providers use BIP44 specs for users to benefit from hierarchical and deterministic wallet structure on various blockchain protocols.

You probably already saw something like this when creating or using a wallet:
m /44’ / 0’ / 0’ / 0 / 0

This is a derivation path, meaning that with the same Mnemonic you can achieve to have multiple public keys and therefore wallet addresses.

More info and specifications here: https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0044.mediawiki

Keplr + Lum Wallet

Follow this steps carefully to customise your derivation path using Keplr and the Lum Network wallet.

IMPORTANT: As long as you do not change your Mnemonic on Keplr or delete your account on Keplr this WILL NOT affect your tokens. It only changes the wallet you access using Keplr.

Step 1

You can skip this step if you do not see the Lum Network in Keplr’s network list. Otherwise you have to do it for the changes to take effect.

  • Open https://wallet.lum.network
  • Open the Keplr extension from the top right corner of your browser
  • Open the Network dropdown menu by clicking on the current network
  • If the Lum Network is already selected you must select another network
  • Delete the Lum Network from the network List on Keplr
Keplr network dropdown

Step 2

Keplr advanced option

Step 3

Enter the Coin Type you desire, here are the Coin Types you want to try first if you have participated in the Lum Network test-net phase and created a wallet:

  • CoinType: 880
  • CoinType: 837

Step 4

  • Click Continue
  • Check your wallet address on the wallet interface
  • Check your wallet address on Keplr
Lum Wallet home page

Step 5

You can repeat Step 1 to Step 4 any number of time and see the different Lum Wallet addresses you get.
