The Greek City Times wrote about our mission, achievements and plans for the future of cinema. How did that happen?

We’re excited to share some great news! The Greek City Times wrote an article on Cinebur, after interviewing our founder and director, Doddi El-gabry. The article talks about our progress as we are trying to save cinema and safely bring back the moviegoing experience in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. You can read it here for free.
It might seem like a wonderful coincidence that Greece’s leading lifestyle site contacted us to write the piece, but there’s a funny story behind how this happened, as Doddi revealed to us later:
“The truth is, I went looking around the web to find the top news agencies in Greece and Cyprus that might be interested in writing a column on us. After all, part of our mission is aimed at helping touristic businesses and safely bringing people together, and all of us founders are at least half Greek or half Cypriot! So, after I found several agencies, I added their general contacts in our mailing list, where they could receive all our news and updates as we’d send them to our users. As “luck” would have it, one of those emails landed, and the GCT contacted us asking for an interview. I believe the article, which is eloquently written by Paulina Karavasili, does a fantastic job at capturing the human aspect of cinema, which Cinebur tries to bring back to our culture.
