Lumerin Hashpower Marketplace Early Beta Access Instructions
We’re very excited about the Testnet launch of the Lumerin Hashpower Marketplace (LHM). Through this platform, everyone will be able to access true, verified hashpower to mine Bitcoin remotely with test LMR.
Disclaimer: The following instructions are intended for intermediate to advanced technical users. Use of the Lumerin Wallet and the Hashpower Marketplace are at your own risk.
Follow the steps below to install your Lumerin wallet:

- Install your Lumerin wallet by downloading, installing, and creating an account on the Lumerin Wallet, adding your preferred pool’s address (link to download the wallet was sent via email to the first 1000 participants)
- Create an account on a Bitcoin mining pool of your choice, if you don’t already have a preferred pool
- Find your pool account details on your Bitcoin mining pool’s interface, often provided in the “Workers” or “Miners” section.
- Send Sepolia LMR tokens to your newly created Wallet, along with some Sepolia ETH for gas fees using https://faucet.lumerin.io/. You can also use the Faucet inside the Lumerin Wallet Desktop Application via the “Get Tokens’’ button — there is a 24 hour restriction on the total number of sETH and sLMR you will receive in order to make it a fair process for all testers.
- Check and modify your network configuration to make sure you can receive hashrate (typically by setting up ngrok, an open source tool, or port forwarding 3334 from the internet to your Lumerin Wallet node, see detailed instructions via gitbook). Note: This step is crucial, you will not be able to route purchased hashrate to your pool account without completing this step.
- You can then select and purchase a hashrate contract through the Lumerin Wallet’s “Marketplace” tab, entering your pool account information and port forwarding information.

Keep in mind that our beta testers are buying real hashpower for their efforts.
The marketplace will be a phased launch in order to ensure the integrity and security of the marketplace’s hashpower contracts. Initially, only buyers will have the opportunity to connect to the marketplace using the Lumerin wallet, acquire real hashpower, and point it to any mining pool of their choice with a simple smart contract call. All marketplace users can exchange Lumerin Testnet tokens to purchase real Bitcoin mining hashpower provided by the Lumerin team. Eventually, hand-selected, verified, sellers will be onboarded but not at this initial stage.
With the Lumerin Hashpower Marketplace, you will have access to hardwareless, remote mining in a peer-to-peer manner. You will be purchasing true, verified hashrate directly from hashrate producers (miners), and be able to point it to the pool of your choice.
All this, done in a decentralized manner with no middlemen involved!
Please, remember that this is a Beta version test. It is meant to guide you through the process to minimize mistakes and errors once the mainnet marketplace goes live. That said, you may come across bugs and errors. Make sure to point these out on our dedicated Github section. We appreciate all feedback from the community.
