Expansive
Stopped
thought and body begin
to grind these gears
together
poet electric, love’s kinetic
gain in coiled spinal wire
vindicate our living fire
A voice that
falls upon the ear
sensual smoothed pebble rolling
endless in endless on folded grooves
to push at bottom some button of bone
that moves the heart’s unseen element
as a mountain drops
a stone.
A
Form That
Expands
Within the Eye
Vital, forces outwards the known
as living water expands dead stone.
quickening, the skin and limbs
breath rounds its circle
the over its rim
in the coffin of my being
spirit begins
begins to pulse and blast together
spirit rears, heart breaks
my tether
Poet metaphoric — Love’s cyclonic
tearing weather
is raging
and will not be settled
gentle as the skin on lips
that are roughly ridged
and smoothed to press
what eager point of fruits and vines
silk thrust along your shining dress
if only that our hands could rest
and be stilled
within each other
and love’s fierce clutching come
and love’s peace fill the lover.
