Tabby’s Lament
The lazy cats,
they stare at sun-motes
considering what is meant
to stalk the floating strings of light —
— — — ◉◉— — — by herds of dust moving in a beam
they are entranced
they watch
◉◉ ◉◉ ◉◉ ◉◉ mites spin thru the lightspill
the Lazy cats
they lay like ill-tossed cushions on the sill
or propped against the stairwell
— — — — — — — green gaze padding some particular
vulnerable particle -
& then flick a dismissive tail
at its drifting from the sight
of their omniscient eyes.
