Once upon a time there was a watch that told what time it was. It sat on the hairy pale wrist of a nervous man who waited outside a famous hotel with a sawed-off shotgun wrapped like a magical fish in the most popular newspaper of the city in which these events occurred.

It sat and it said the time is 2 minutes to Now.

Every few seconds the nervous man would look at his hairy pale wrist round which the watch was wrapped and note that the second hand had moved some spaces since the last time he’d inspected it.

Finally, just as the nervous man was about to give up for the night and go home a chubby, healthily tanned man wearing a charcoal gray suit and a watch of the same brand but a far more expensive version came out of the famous hotel flanked by two serious looking, tense shouldered men in black suits and black glasses wearing cheap watches.

The watch on the wrist of the nervous man said the time is now.

A bell could be heard tolling far off in the ears of the nervous man as he destroyed the quality of his newspaper, which blew apart like a dandelion with a million words blasting about elegantly in the night, as the man with his nervous hands triggering the gun shot the chubby healthily tanned man through his charcoal breast and was tackled by the tense men with inferior watches.

Everything proceeded as planned.
