Greetings, ONBUFF community!
We’re excited that ONBUFF, your beloved blockchain game platform, has joined the Sui network, which we believe is the perfect fit for blockchain games. Our goal is to create simpler ways and better tools for blockchain game developers, and we’re excited to be a part of Sui’s journey as they’re about to launch their remarkable mainnet. So pay attention to the fantastic collaboration between ONBUFF and Sui!

To celebrate this occasion, we want to share our vision for the Sui network, particularly in the context of blockchain games. We can’t wait to engage with our community and discuss the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.

Advantages of Sui Network for Games

We’re very excited to share why ONBUFF has chosen to be powered by the Sui network. Sui has a number of advantages for blockchain games that have already been proven in the testnet with several games fully on-chain. Here are some of the key traits that make Sui a great fit for blockchain games.

  • Faster performance network
In Sui, when it comes to doing simple transactions, Sui would have a great amount of capacity to go around to meet the need for consensus. By using this method, Sui is able to execute straightforward transactions in parallel. In other words, Sui uses a slightly different way of delivering transactions within the block from traditional blockchain, which they use parallelization to maximize resources and increase throughput. As a result, Sui executes high throughput of around 160,000 tps (transaction per second), which is good enough to run the blockchain games even fully on-chain.
And the speed of fast blockchain would be the primary selling point for users who can compare them to more conventional blockchain networks
  • Easier Scalability
Sui is known for ‘instant finality’, with zero latency. This will things so much easier from the problems such as slow games on-chain, expensive dApps, lost funds, and overpriced asset floor prices with high gas fees, i.e. inefficiency of the crypto market because of network problems.
  • Secure network without latency
Sui’s different transaction method leads to a significant reduction in latency and brings validators to be able to use the entirety of their CPU cores as a result. Besides, Mysten Labs introduce the Sui platform will be able to function at the speed of the network without the need to wait for system timeouts between protocol stages. In their case, the timeouts are in minutes. Sui will utilize a good number of devices in each validator comparing traditional blockchain solutions usually require one machine for each validator.
Sui is focusing on the security of digital assets as well as the self-custodial possibility of users’ assets with auditable smart contracts. And if some validators decide to be malicious, the system is fault tolerant.
  • User friendly
Sui is able to preserve its security features even under unfavorable conditions by their unique process of how their network works including a distributed denial of service assault or a network split. And, Mysten Labs is trying to make the platform more user-friendly for developers with the use of Move’s blockchain-oriented programming language, especially focusing on blockchain games. Game developers will be able to work with less code and make fewer mistakes.

Overall, Sui’s features and capabilities make it an exciting platform for blockchain games, and we look forward to continuing to build on this partnership to create better experiences for our ONBUFF community.

ONBUFF on the Sui network

As ONBUFF mentioned several times on our medium, we believe Gaming is all about fun, and that is why a lot of users in web3 believe blockchain games should be the first key to mass adaption for regular users and be considered one of the first verticals for faster web3 adoption.
However, web3 games are usually expected to be more as an investment than traditional online games, affected more by crypto market conditions than the games themselves.

So feel like something is missing from current Web3 games? What would that be?

  • A new experience for users
A successful Web3 game must offer an experience that should be totally different from conventional games to the users. To make this happen, web3 games should be focusing on taking advantage of the benefits of blockchain games particularly fully on-chain offering users dynamic and composable digital assets with verifiable ownership based on NFT. These features can power the new gameplay and its ecosystems, leading to immense value and engagement from the community.
  • A new tool for developers
Building a great game always requires great builders who know how to create a game much more funnier and more user-friendly with new experiences. And that is why Sui is concentrating on building good tools for game developers so that they don’t have to go through learning a new language but can focus on building fantastic blockchain games on Sui without being limited by platform performance or fees.

Wrapping up

In conclusion, we have discussed the exciting partnership between ONBUFF and the Sui Network. We hope that this information has been meaningful to you. ONBUFF is committed to continuously working for the benefit of ONBUFFers. We encourage you to stay tuned for the next series of updates about ONBUFF and Sui. Thank you for your attention, and we look forward to sharing more exciting developments in the future.
