Enriching Days at the Sui Builder House Event in Singapore

The Sui Builder House event in Singapore was a dynamic two-day experience filled with engaging speeches that sparked discussions. For those who couldn’t attend, we have something special in store to pique your interest.

On the first day, September 15th, things kicked off smoothly with registration at 9:30 a.m. At 10:45 a.m., Greg Siourounis, the Managing Director of the Sui Foundation, shared insightful reflections on the post-Mainnet phase and exciting future plans in his opening remarks. Following this, Adeniyi Abiodun, the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Mysten Labs, introduced zkLogin, the latest feature from Sui. We’ll dive into zkLogin in the next part.

A panel discussion with Amir Mehrbakhsh, Lola Oyelayo-Pearson, and Janet Wu highlighted the importance of account abstraction in Sui for broader adoption. The day continued with enlightening talks from industry leaders like Jameel Khalfan, Ben Charbit, and Jin Lee, who explored the future of on-chain gaming. Their insights prompted reflections on the evolution of gaming and creating experiences that resonate with players.

On the next day, September 16th, things started earlier at 9 a.m. Adeniyi and the Sui Foundation Developer Relations Team had an informative session with student attendees at Builder House. Following this, the highly-anticipated ONBUFF presentation at 2 p.m. took the spotlight. Kevin Kim, Chief Business Officer of ONBUFF, delivered an engaging talk about the upcoming release of the Samurai Shodown NFT.

The event was a harmonious blend of knowledge and insights, leaving a lasting impression on all participants.

What is ZkLogin?

ZkLogin, or Zero-Knowledge Login, is a game-changer in blockchain technology. It lives up to its name by letting users access dApps without revealing personal information like names or IDs. Instead, it taps into familiar web 2.0 logins like Google or Facebook for a secure experience. What’s impressive is its future plan to integrate with major platforms like Microsoft and Apple, widening its user reach. Using Zero Knowledge Proof technology, zkLogin verifies identity and wallet ownership without exposing sensitive login details. This replaces the need for complex private keys, which can be intimidating. With zkLogin, Sui has simplified onboarding, making blockchain technology more accessible to all.

Adeniyi Abiodun, Co-Founder and CPO of Mysten Labs, emphasizes the significance of this technology:

“zkLogin on Sui applies a login pattern that is well-known, simple, and effective to this new arena. This technology, now on Sui, is the biggest opportunity so far to remove these barriers and onboard a billion new users to the next generation of connected experiences.”

ZkLogin’s innovation ensures both mass adoption and strong privacy safeguards. It doesn’t store personal information on the blockchain, relying on zero-knowledge proofs for security. As Sui integrates more with Web2, zkLogin will be key to making blockchain technology user-friendly and widely adopted.

The ONBUFF Project: Presenting Samurai Shodown

At the Sui Builder House event in Singapore, ONBUFF unveiled the exciting linking structure of Samurai Shodown with the Sui network. This linking structure involves three essential databases: the Samurai Shodown game server, the INNO Platform, and the Sui Network. They are linked through a UID for seamless coordination. ONBUFF showed attendees a short video showing how Samurai Shodown gaming servers, INNO platforms, and Sui networks are utilized and connected. Users access the INNO Platform through Google Social Login to check their ONBUFF Points, then log into the game server to verify them further. The process continues with swapping ONBUFF Points for Hubble Tokens on the INNO Platform’s Swap page. Samurai Shodown caters to both Web 3 and Web 2 users, ensuring an enjoyable gaming experience for all. A standout feature is Mount NFT, which allows characters to ride on it. This dynamic interaction, made possible by Sui’s Dynamic NFT technology, creates a seamless connection between the Game Server, INNO Platform, and Sui Network. The presentation was a significant milestone for ONBUFF and the eager attendees of the Sui Builder House event.

Wrapping Up

The presentation of ONBUFF’s game, Samurai Shodown, sparked significant interest among the developers at Sui Builder House. The enthusiastic response was truly heartening for ONBUFF, as it reflects the anticipation that our valued ONBUFFers will also thoroughly enjoy the game. Moreover, we’re excited to share that ONBUFF is actively collaborating with the core developers at Mysten Labs. Be prepared for a plethora of exciting updates and revelations in the near future! Stay tuned, ONBUFFers; there’s much more to come!
