After 7 days of 20+ insightful discussions with 70+ speakers and 8000+ people joining us, at Lumos Labs, we successfully concluded the Asia Innovation Summit 2021 (AIS) which was conducted from July 14 — July 21, 2021.

Conducted in association with Woodstock Fund and title sponsor, Tezos, AIS 2021 gathered the brightest minds of the industry under one banner filled with quality conversations across major emerging technology themes.

AIS 2021 was dedicated to emerging technologies and their impact with our three pillars of focus.

Three Pillars of Focus

Through AIS, we provided education in diverse emerging technologies with research-oriented content for all tech-savvy and non-tech-savvy alike. Be it, software developers, IT professionals, blockchain developers, tech enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, innovators, investors, students, etc., our main objective was to leave our viewers with valuable takeaways in the form of the latest and emerging technological advancements and how Asia is steadily becoming a technological hub.

The idea behind the Asia Innovation Summit was to bring together the experts of the global technology sector and have quality conversations ranging from the banking sector to the web3 world. Technology is seeing revolutions at all fronts with the development of AI, VR, Blockchain, Robotics, etc, the tech sector has never been more active. Through the AIS journey, we got the opportunity to delve deep into the latest cutting edge technologies and to connect with the brightest minds. Our objective was to bring to the forefront the advancements of the tech industry and we are glad to have worked towards achieving this with AIS.

7 days, 7 agendas: All things Tech!

For each day of the event, we had pre-decided agendas that were communicated to our registrants well before the start of the event to help them clear their schedules and prepare for three hours of learning and immersing themselves in a world of new and improved technologies.

Our agendas included:

Async @ AIS 2021: Limber learning experiences of in-depth content

Organizing a virtual event like AIS 2021 in the age of online learning, video conferencing, is not straightforward. There are issues regarding screen fatigue, fleeting attention spans and the lack of meaningful connections being created. But we created a rare, asynchronous format to help us achieve a balance.

We gathered 20 experts in the tech industry, ranging from academicians to corporate professionals, to give us their time and summarize their years of expertise in 60 minutes or less for our Tech Talks.

The aim of this asynchronous, unique format was to enable our viewers to learn at their own pace and at their own time. This format ensured that we had a regular stream of consistent and quality content till the lead up to AIS 2021 for our registrants and enthusiasts.

70+ experts bringing the best of emerging tech insights

At AIS 2021, we had several experts sharing their experience, knowledge, and wisdom through Tech Talks and panel discussions.

With 70+ speakers, we covered as much of the ever-growing emerging technology sector as possible. From a range of traditional banking players to emerging DeFi players to experts navigating AI, ML, AR/VR and Robotics, AIS managed to bring them together and engage in intellectual discussions.

‘Organizing and executing a 7-day virtual event during a pandemic was a unique experience that enabled us to network with some of the brightest tech-oriented researchers in India. We have always heard that India has never been at the forefront of cutting edge and emerging technologies but while preparing for the Asia Innovation Summit and connecting with numerous academicians and professionals; we realised how far ahead India is already. Through AIS, we had hoped to give a platform to various experts who have seldom shared their experience and inputs due to lack of such platforms in India. We hope to sustain the quality conversations that happened at AIS and further encourage the voice of Indian and Asian innovators’

Vasudhendra Badami, Former CMO, Lumos Labs

After the foundation of what to expect had been laid out through various Tech Talks, AIS week finally arrived.

We were delighted to have the consistent support of our sponsors, speakers, media partners, and job partners throughout the event and saw an average daily viewership of 400+ people.

With three panel discussions each day, followed by an interactive Q&A at the end of each panel, we hoped to provide our audience with ample learning opportunities.

During the course of the discussions, we also conducted numerous fun contests with the winners announced at the end of each day. Each winner received a bunch of swags including Lumos Labs T-shirts, Lumos Labs badges, and Lumos Labs stickers. Additionally, we acquired 20+ job opportunities throughout the event that saw an impressive influx of 700+ stall visits. The candidates interacted with the hiring companies through personalized job rooms dedicated to said companies. For 20+ job opportunities, we saw an impressive influx of 700+ stall visits.

Tez Day @ AIS 2021

AIS 2021 included an exclusive Tez Day (16 July) and a supermeet-up for the Tezos community, with our title sponsor Tezos. To foster talent and pioneer sustainable blockchain development in key sectors, attendees could interact with thought leaders and experts and create impactful connections via engaging panel discussions and a project showcase.

With two panel discussions and five remarkable projects built on and/or integrated into Tezos, we managed to capture an active user audience of 400+ attendees as well as 500+ Tezos Booth profile views

Takeaways @ AIS 2021

At the end of AIS 2021, at Lumos Labs, we were ecstatic to see the results of all our hard work. We covered a variety of relevant technology movements and showcased eminent names in the emerging tech industry in the form of panels and talks.

Though AIS 2021 was focused on breaking down the dense, deep aspects of emerging technologies, the Summit exceeded expectations. We learnt the art of storytelling, investing, entrepreneurship, of spreading knowledge selflessly, of teaching, of being diligent, and most importantly, of learning concepts beyond the scope of our professional domains.

AIS 2021 was a delightful journey filled with key takeaways and brilliant anecdotes and we can only hope our viewers had as much fun learning about all things emerging tech as we did.
