The last time you saw Lumos Labs bring you BUIDL for Web3, we were wrapping up a hackathon on a high note!

Such good times! 🥰

Although, this time, we’re back with a whole new thing for the Web3 Community! We’re super proud to bring you the BUIDL for Web3 Summit, in partnership with Buidl.so, powered by Bitget, supported by Aptos, in association with Absinthe Labs. As the headlining event at the India Blockchain Week, we’d like this December to highlight your Web3 journey this year with some meaningful reflections, education and career opportunities.

It’s been two weeks since we made this announcement and we’re proud to tell you that 500 people who are Web3 fans have registered for the BUIDL for Web3 Summit! Make sure you join the fun and register today!

That said, let’s dive right in!

What is the BUIDL for Web3 Summit?

The BUIDL for Web3 Summit is the headline event of the India Blockchain Week. Taking place on Mon, 4 Dec 2023, we’ve put together a great platform for people to convene, exchange ideas, network and keep the momentum going in the Web3 world.

In that spirit, we’ve put together an exciting set of events, making it an action-packed day for you:

  • Tech Talks featuring prominent industry experts sharing insights based on research in the Web3 space.
  • Build your career at the BUIDL for Web3 Job Fair
  • Learn more about what founders are building at the Build.so SPOTLIGHT — a startup pitch competition as they pitch for funding (supported by Bitget).
  • Never stop networking. You’re invited to network with Web3 professionals from different companies.

But what’s really going to drive conversations here would be a great conversation.

Let’s take a look at the BUIDL for Web3 Summit’s Agenda

We all know how ground-breaking it was when the infamous, Web3-cult favourite — Satoshi Nakamoto brought us the Bitcoin whitepaper. Web3 has evolved so much since then.

We had the early signs of Silk Road cautioning us on potential malpractices, Vitalik’s brain bringing us Ethereum, what brought us the Bitcoin Pizza Day, developers rallying to BUIDL, the GM, Bored Ape, bear markets, bull runs…

We HAVE come a good, long way since 2008.

However, if we were to contrast the Web3 world against the progress of the predecessors of this technology (Web2), we can see we’re not close enough to fulfilling the most significant milestone we want to reach: onboarding the next billion users.

This might rile you up. You might say, “Hey, our progress is still progress.” Or you’re realising, “Oh, man! Maybe you’re right.”

Well, either way, those are completely valid, understandable reactions. And that’s exactly what we’re going to address at the BUIDL for Web3 Summit.

But no, we’re not going to rant on about just that. Here’s the gist of topics that will highlight the ‘next billion users’ problem:

  1. Protocol Playbook: From Mainnet to Mass Adoption
  2. Block Builder Decentralisation
  3. Making a Case for Integrated Blockchains
  4. Sequencer
  5. Light nodes
  6. Global liquidity <-> Emerging markets
  7. Flatcoins
  8. Fully homomorphic encryption
  9. Decentralized Information Rails
  10. Social beyond speculation

We promise to give you great things to learn and talk about.

In fact, take a look at the line-up of speakers we have for you!

If you’ve stayed with us so far in this blog post, you’ve got an idea of what one-third of the Summit is going to be about and how we’re running the show. But here’s where you take the reins: the Web3 Job fair; the BUIDL.so SPOTLIGHT. So, here’s the TL;DR!

Everything you need to know about the BUIDL for Web3 Job Fair

A Web3 job fair is pretty self-explanatory. But we’re going to give you the gist anyway. We have gathered over 50 job roles across various functionalities from Absinthe Labs, Capx, Bitget, BUIDL.so and Lumos Labs.

Here’s how it works:

  • Register for the Summit with your resume.
  • We vet your profile and invite you to the Summit.**
  • Your profile will be shared with prominent Web3 companies hiring for roles that are suited to your experience level, capabilities and skill set.
  • You are invited to the Summit.
  • You show up, dressed up for the job you want and work your magic.

You can apply for both — technical and non-technical roles. This would include BD, Marketing, Product, Community, Dev Rel and Engineering, etc.

That’s it.

**Please note that only applicants selected for the interview will be exclusively invited to attend the BUIDL for Web3 Summit Job Fair.
